On one of those days where I just needed to crunch some miles I took I44 across Missouri. It was a dull and at times wet day, and so I couldn't help but notice the big bright neon signs I regularly passed for what were called 'Adult Stores'. According to the signs festooned across the large but bland buildings that were positioned just by the off ramps these places had a bit of whatever took your fancy, and 'at great prices'. ...
