Outback muster for station stayersFriday May 16 12:01 PM

Guests at an outback Australian property will be given the chance to take part in a live cattle mustering adventure.

Wrotham Park Lodge is to offer its guest the opportunity to join the Queensland property's stockmen and women on horseback, sharing in the excitement of rounding up the herds, sometimes in unison with a helicopter.

Those looking for an extra adrenalin rush can also choose to take flight in a helicopter to follow the muster by air.

Mustering season (which runs until mid-September) is an exciting time to visit Wrotham Park Lodge. Guests get a real feel for cattle station life and the rugged beauty of the Australian Outback, Anna Guillan, Voyages Hotels & Resorts Executive General Manager Sales and Marketing, said.

Wrotham Park encompasses 600,000 hectares of land with around 70,000 head of cattle, but also offers luxury accommodation.

Other activities include half-day cattle station tours, horse rides, 4WD adventures and helicopter scenic tours.

Wrotham Park is about 300km west of Cairns. - Travelpress travel news
