Challenging Adventures & Luxury at Release:Private Retreat this Summer

Release Private Retreat has launched a range of challenging and unique packages for groups and individuals looking to combine luxury and adventure this summer.

Heli fly fishing, heli-biking, mountaineering and heli-diving are all on the menu of activities available at Release, an architecturally-designed luxury retreat in Lake Wanaka, New Zealand.
 
The Heli Fly Fishing Adventure includes spectacular flights over the Southern Alps to remote glacial valleys where expert local guides teach how to stalk and sight fish for wild Brown and Rainbow Trout in the crystal clear waters New Zealand is renowned for. The West Coast Heli-Diving Adventure takes you on a journey past the majestic Mount Aspiring to the pristine West Coast waters to hand-select  tasty crayfish and explore the underwater wildlife and caves.
 
Guests will then take a short flight back to Release and their very own private chef at the retreat for an inter-active gourmet cooking experience, to share trade secrets and advice on how to best cook up their catch of the day.
 
The Adventure Heli-Biking, Wanaka style, offers as much excitement on the uphill, to one of New Zealand's highest mountain ranges, as the thrilling descent of 6000 vertical feet of downhill mountain biking. The package includes world–class equipment and expert instruction for all levels. Or to further explore New Zealand’s Southern Alps the Alpine Challenge offers the chance to learn or advance mountaineering techniques, travel on glaciers or climb your first mountain under the instruction of internationally qualified guides from Adventure Consultants.
 
Available from November to April the packages include accommodation at Release and are between four and seven days. All packages are flexible and can be tailored to suit the family or group’s requirements and skill levels.
 
“Lake Wanaka is the perfect playground for taking on exciting and challenging adventures and after an adrenalin-filled day guests can relax on the deck or in the hot tub and enjoy the stunning views across Lake Wanaka,” said Release’s Australian co-founder Nick Frame.
 
Release accommodates six adults comfortably and provides a perfect venue for families, friends or corporate groups. Exclusive use of the retreat includes the full concierge service to arrange Release adventures, private chef or sommelier or any other detail that completes the ultimate experience.
