Coming and Going

Málaga is Andalucía's principal international airport. Almería, Seville, Jerez de la Frontera, Granada and Gibraltar also receive some international flights. A departure tax is levied when flying out of Spain, but this is usually included in the price of the ticket.

Trains run from all major European cities to Madrid, where you can get a connecting service to Andalucía. If you don't have a railcard of some sort, this can be an expensive option. There are also international bus companies that run services to Spain.

Getting About

Andalucía has no internal flights. All airports in the region have buses going to major town centres, except for Gibraltar where you have to cross the border into Spain to La Linea's Bus Station. Local and national buses service the towns and villages. Regional or cercanía trains run between the main cities, suburbs and smaller towns. Long-distance trains link Andalucía with the other Spanish regions and many major cities.
