Aspen Recreation Center

Aspen is proud of its recreation centre which is loaded with facilities including pools and hot tubs, an ice rink and a climbing wall. Its Aspen Youth Center runs crafts sessions, parties and other activities for kids aged eight to 18; summer fun includes roller hockey and skateboarding.

Aspen Center for Environment Studies

The Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) is a 22ac (10ha) wildlife sanctuary that hugs the Roaring Fork River. With a mission to advance 'the ethic that the earth must be respected and nurtured,' the Center's naturalists provide summertime guided walks, eagle demonstrations, special programs for youngsters and more.

If you find yourself in Aspen and the snow just isn't doing it for you, then a summertime site to consider is Anderson Ranch Arts Center, a non-profit arts institution recommended for its wonderful array of five-day summer courses focusing on crafts and creativity.
